Newby to painting

Hey guys new to the forum but not forums in general
I am currently restoring a 1976 Holden HJ Sedan and im in the process of painting/welding/primer ect
First off i would like to ask were to start off with painting?
small things first like a bike frame?
im really interesting in painting ect and keen to leanr more please help out

Britter...welcome to the forum!

I would suggest stripping and bodyworking one panel at a time. If you stripped the complete car, sometimes this becomes a very intimidating task.
one panel at a time is pretty manageable, plus you'll get better as you go.
If you decide not to strip it, and you just want to do the bodywork, prime these areas, sand the car, then paint it, this will even make it easier. But I would guess since you have an older Holden, that it's been painted a couple times + so you'll probably want to strip the car.

Thanks for the feedback, i stripped the car sadly :( foolish mistake but im new to this stuff, and it seems like i have much work ahead of me now...
