Hi, am repainting Mama's bike; used the special primer activator for the plastic pieces, sprayed about six coats of primer and finished up the wet sanding with 2500. Any tips before I spray the base and then the clear? Bought a higher quality ($150)paint gun from the paint supplier and think I'm ready to continue.:think1:

I don't think you are gonna get the base to adhere properly having wet sand the primer with such a fine grit of sand paper..I normally will only go to 600 wet if I am not going to use a sealer..

Primed it all again and wet sanded with 600. Before spraying the base coat, any suggestions/pointers?:think1:

600 is a much better grit just make sure your primer is dry if you've wet sanded it. Any trace of moisture in it will come back to haunt you. Ask me how I know.
