Old dog learning new tricks!

Hi, Just dug my old badger out of the cupboard after twenty years. I used to do a bit, but all poster work. I showed a friend my old work & now he wants me to have a play on some spare Harley tanks. Firstly are there many UK members out there, If so, can you recommend a UK paint supplier? What paint do I use to guard against fuel damage? First job is a simple flame just to get my hand back in. Just found this forum to help me get started, It's fantastic, so many helpful people.
My brush is an old Badger 150 single action which will have to do until I see if it goes anywhere. Do you think it will be up to it. Should I buy a range of needles.
Sorry, maybe too many questions for one post?:sillyme:

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to posts any of your questions in the appropriate forums. You'll probably get better responses there.
Also, that's where members go if they are looking for 'answers' to some questions they might have like yours.

Briefly though, your badger should work fine if it's in good working order.
Of course you'll need a spray gun as well to spray the sealer, base and clear.

I'm not for sure of any UK paint suppliers.
PPG, Diamont, and HOK are all good systems. Maybe Sikkens or PPG Global is avail in UK?

Enjoy the forum!

not very experienced and have only bought automotive paint; you can get all the brands pretty much & there are many suppliers (BCN, Raynor etc etc).

i use a local guy and sometimes BCN; paints ive seen or tried are stuff like Max Meyer, PPG, Churchill paints. Upol. seen house of Kolor stuff on for sale but to ££££ for me to try just as yet.

i would go on Yell.com and find a local supplier unless you're near Blackburn then i'd recommend BCN Auto Refinishing.

hope that is of some help.

Thanks fella's,
Sorry Taz, I've just spotted the problem with where I posted doh!. The Badger will have to do for now. if the "war office" catches me blowing £ on a new set up she'll go Banzai!
Thanks Rafsen, Unfortunately I'm a shandy drinking southerner haha, I know a Meyer place in canterbury I could try, but I agree HOK is way to pricey if you think you'll be wasting paint while you get your hand in.
Really looking forward to getting back into it now.
I'll re- post this in the right section now. Thanks guys.
