I was clearing my helmet, and then i cleaned out my gun, and mixing buckets. Damned if i didn't find the clear coat hardner still in the bucket. I just sprayed the clear w/ out the hardner. What do i do? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beat.gif

I mixed up some harner/clear and sprayed it over the top thick. I hope that works? I might have a few runs, but if it works that will be just fine. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crap.gif

oops is right! I don't know what will happen. Even if it does work out, it can't be too good of a situation to have hardened clear over non-catalyzed clear. Hopefully you didn't do too much artwork to the helmet.
Good luck to whatever you do with it!

Hoss,The top may get hard but,it will always be soft and uncured underneath.I did the same thing to a quarter on my Chevelle,a yr later decided I wanted to redo it,once I broke the surface with sandpaper,It was still soft and gummy .I wound up wiping it off with reducer and reshooting.I don't know if it will bother your helmet or not but thought you would like to know,Jim

I had some runs in the second clear, but i think I'll leave it alone. It is a little soft, but it will work for now.
It's my wifes helmet, and she drops the damn thing all the time anyway.

I was thinking about your comment jim, and i think i'll not worry about buffing b/c it might make things worse.

All bets are off if it's likely to get dropped.Let your wife beat it up good ehrn either redo it (yeah, strip it) or tell here she needs a new one.She has to buy it of course since she destroyed the old one-let me know if it works so I can try this strategy on my wife OK? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif Hell no man, been slammed by one, tickled by 2 and now I hear 2 more are headed right back at me.The guns are still loaded, the windows still covered and the dirtbike is full of gas (that's the only way to get around for the first day afer). What sucks is the scooter has to live in this small damn house till I get a new place to put it since my shed and to-be-garage are wiped from Charlie.Ain't nothing getting fixed till it's all over.I'm still trying to figure out how to get my cows back over on my proprty thru a few hundred downed trees on my fenceline and then thru a flooded creek and swamp.Yefu#*nha.
