OT: Chroming cost

I just polished the frame, wheels, swingarm, and forks on my ZX9R. I can tell you that the three spoke wheels minus the tires and powder coat were going to cost $300 a piece to be chromed. They will not touch you frame unless it is stripped to the bone of everything. I complete custom shop will strip and chrome it, but it won't be cheap. Cruiser or crotch rocket, I would guess atleast $500 after you stripped it.

This is kind of out in left field but how much should I expect to pay to have a cycle frame chromed? I'm just starting to look into it and was curious if any one had experience with this.

take it from sombody who has had a ton of chrome platting done, you will pay dearly. HD softail swing arms are about $400 to have plated, if i were you i would plan to pay at least double that. remember when it comes to chrome platting , you get what you pay for.
