how can i delete photos on my gallery?

I accidentally put two of the same pics in there, and i might have some new ones to add. I was just wondering so i could get rid of some old pics and add new. If it were possible?

I went to edit photo and i checked the box, but it linked me to a page that said i don't have permission for that action(something like that).
