Kind of off topic, but here goes.
Got a friend that has a 6 foot cactus made out of re-bar. It's an indoor decoration. I haven't seen it, but my friend's wife is in love with it. He says, "It's the darndest thing you've ever seen."
He wants me to paint it. Any suggestions for treating mildly rusted re-bar? I'd like to avoid the hassle and cost of sandblasting.
Since it will not be exposed to the elements, do you think a coat of good ol' bulk Rustoleum would suffice for paint?
Unfortunately, the re-bar is too thin for any flames.
I promise I'll post some pictures. I'm sure everyone is anxious to see a painted 6' metal cactus. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/roflmao.gif
