Paint availabilty

Hello all,
I have returned to airbrushing after being out of it for 15 years as I was bulding my video production/3d animation business. I am very happy to have found this forum.

I was looking for Kustom Shop paints and found what I needed at TCP Global. When I was ready to check out I learned that the shipping was as much as the paint. $60+ for hazardous materials. I was just buying the true fire set with clearcoat. Is this normal?

My question: Is there another source to purchase and not have to pay the high shipping cost? I am in the Tampa Bay area- are there shops that stock such paint and supplies?

Welcome to the forum. I'm also in the bay area (Pinellas Park).
I buy all my supplies from Coast Airbrush in CA. Since they are in CA, it takes about 7 days to get an order though. Just the TCP Global and Coast airbrush are the main two places I know of.

That was quick....So what did you come up for a shipping cost for the same products from coastairbrush? higher? lower?

I don't know what you ordered so I don't know if this would be high or not. I'm sure no matter what you order, if paint is involved, you'll probably have to pay a haz charge

The order that I was going to place was the base "Real Fire" kit (KUS KIT-LFT-CL )with clear coat. I am not cheap and I know everything has its price but to pay almost as much for shipping as the cost of the product is a little rough.

Thanks- AOE is very limited in airbrush supplies. They carry some water based Auto Air and Createx but that is about it. Pearl on Hillsboro Ave. is just a little bit better but they don't carry supplies that I need.

Did you see this on ebay? It's TCP Global and shows the shipping to be only $15.00

I don't know why there was such a difference in shipping cost from their main site and Ebay.

I'd love to come by and see your setup if you ever have a few moments to spare.

I just bought the paint from TCP's Ebay store. Also bought a new IWATA Eclipse HP-CS.
Maybe you should get a comission.

i live right down the street. if there was any way, i would have gotten it for you and shipped. dont know if thats a difference.

nice buy i the eclipse. im still failing on upgrading. only have the master g44, but i like it.

yeah freight's a pain, i wanted to buy the Alsa color chip book for about US$40 but the freight was US$150 to New Zealand! It's just a folder, come on:sillyme:
