Welcome Don. Scott has a pretty detailed how to section on the site , start there and if you have any questions after that feel free to ask, there is more combined experiance on the Flame board than can be imagined, so enjoy
Hey Don,welcome again. You might have to clarify a little more what you want.If you want a true candy red with gold flake flames you need to do the candy then flake in the flames and clear it all,but it will be bold.Let us know exactly what you're looking to do.
I want to do the base coat in candy apple red then do the flames in gold metal flake but I want it as gost flames. That is why I was asking if after I paint the flames do I pearl over them. Thanks for taking the time to help.
If you put regular flake or metallic in pearl, it will "kill" the pearl. I would suggest using these seperately.
If you want gold ghost flames over a candy base, I would suggest just using a gold metallic color. Trying to acheive gold ghost metalflake flames over a candy base would be almost impossible to do.
ok thanks for all the help,I am so glad you all were out here its hard to find help on this. What would you us as a color on candy apple red "pearl color" that is what have you seen to be the best looking? Thanks for taking the time to help.
