Paint job #170

Scott, now thats a paint job, especially if your into blues like me. Just jot my first batch of bar and shields back, the only diffrance in mine are i left out the outer boarder that you have on yours. hope to use two sets this week on two diffrent jobs. i just got the new Harley parts suppliment today and a couple of their custom paint jobs are using the bar and shield paint masks, you reading the motor companies minds

Rex, dissappeared no, i just dont seem to have enough hours in a day lately. it has gotten supper bussy at work in the past 2 months, we have had a little bit of snow this year , i have a couple paint jobs in the works for customers, plus my 2 scooters torn down( you know how that goes)i saw in a post about a week ago you got your heads back, get it all together yet? make any other mods?

We have some newer guys who seem to know the ins and outs and are keeping up on the ?'s. Who knows may be they will be putting us out of a job

Did you make Daytona this year? Heard the weather sucked. it may seem like i am not around but i pop in a couple times a day. Keep it real

Glad to hear you got your B&S back. Should give your jobs a nice pesonalized touch.

I know about the busy,I just wish it was at work.I picked the scoot up this morning and have to finish breaking in the rings.Figured since the base gaskets needed done might as well hit it with the hone and rering it.She's had the carb,ignition,pipes and EV3 cam for a year so it was time to finish it.If I go chain drive I can still only fit a 150 under it so the motor's done,if I want more it's time to build a real ride.The weather did suck from what my buddy said and the turnout was a little shy.I gave up on it a few years ago but I'll hit Biketoberfest every few years.They've got too many restrictions now.What're yours tore up for ,winter maintenance?

Scott,beautiful job on that one,sorry I didn't mention it before.Are you guys having the B&S made or does someone make a template?I'm kicking around a few ideas for the next redo and I'll be darned if you didn't do that one and make up my mind.Later guys.

The B+S are being made, i am sure one of us can hook you up if you need them. Both the scooters are getting cosmetic make overs

Cool,thanx man I really wasn't into all that cutting.You better throw up some pix when you're done,I've been curious what you decided on the OL's.

Rex, the OL decided Black base ,purple marbilized, Hot pink pearl and Tangelo pearl flames interwinding. i got her a stretch tank and a bobtail rear fender with the stock original front fender. i am tring to talk her in to a B+S on at least the rear fender, plenty of room there, she has a solo seat and i welded up the two up seat mount hole oin the new fender. i have it all in primer and preped, but i want to finish a couple of customers jobs first. I have some time for our bikes there is a ton of sand ojn the roads thanks to all the snow we have had this year and i dont think ill be riding until the end of April

Sounds like a sharp color combo,can't wait to see it.Any chance you didn't have to straighten the new tin,like that would ever happen eh?Can't say I miss that crap up there,what a mess.As a matter of fact I'm drinking one for you right now,mainly to get that vision out of my head but it's dedicated to you

I do need one more thing I keep forgetting for the scoot,a friggin torque arm.I figure since I go through a belt every 10k or so I better put one on now before I snap the inner primary.I like the Dyna platform but it sure is a stressfull mounting system.Take care man,sounds like you need a day off
