paint my motorcycle

im planning on getting black metallic basecoat paint from kustom shop and just clear coating it for the actual paint. im also getting pinstriping stencils from them. my question is, do i do all the steps to paint normal and then paint the stencils or do i stencil before clear coat or do i paint, clear coat, stencil, then clear coat again?

Assuming that the black metallic is a black with metallic mixed in and not a black base with metallic over it, and you are comfortable doing the pinstripes without any messups, you can do it without clear between. If you are not, then I would suggest clearing, resanding, and THEN doing the pinstripes.

If the base is a black with metallic over it, you could always do the black base, then the pinstripes, then a coat of metallic, then clear over everything.

would a quart suffice for my ninja?

im going another route till i get more money. im rattle canning it. it looks good so far. im doing all the steps the same.

would i get a nicer look if i clear then stencil then clear? i just did fender going to clear all at once.
