Paint on Jet ski

Can I use standard HOK paints on a jetski? Will they hold up to being in the water?
I have some left over HOK clear that I used on my bike last year. Is it still good since it has not had the catalyst added yet? Love the board and thanks in advance.

Yes auto motive paint will work fine but on all the pieces other then the hull you will need adhesion promoter if you pull them off they probably have letters on them "pp" most likely & that is a plasticc which needs a promoter or it will peel that is the way my pwc was anyway

Are you sure guys, I mean I thought you had to use gel coats for marine crafts? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

There's this guy who wants to flame his speed boat, I told him I'll let him know this spring, caouse I thought I would have to lear how to gel-coat befor I attemp it, but if regular auto-paint does the trick then it's all good. But I don't want him comming back in the fall cause his paint peeled off or something. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/foreheadslap.gif
