hey guys. ive painted with PPG's omni Brand, and then Martin Senior brand paints. what do you professionals prefer. i have my small shop going, and i want the best looking finishes that last. right out of my booth, they both look great, but on the last truck i did with the martin stuff, it dulled up a lot. it hasnt been wetsanded or buffed, but, what would you guys reccomend. Especially for the custom paint jobs. Thanks

IF THE TEMP. OUT OF YOUR BOOTH IS TOO COLD THE CLEARS TEND TO DULL AND REQ. WET SANDING AFTER FULL DRY

Using too fast a reducer can do it and how's your booth's airflow? Also if you kill the fan too soon on a slow drying clear the solvents aren't being pulled out and will start to evaporate and settle back on it,'burning' the top and hazing it.You don't want the temp to go below 60 throughout the process either. It's easy to make a reducer to dry fast but it's hard to get the chemical crosslinking to be reliable under 60.
