paint wrinkles up

what steps in the painting process help eleminate the paint wrinkling up around screw heads and where the passenger seat rubs against the paint?

it's not a chemical wrinkle it's a wrinkle made by rubbing the clear or twisting the screw.

Make sure its fully cured other than that washers between paint and screws help. I have used 3M road guard tape where seats rub against body work with good results.

that's a good idea on the back fender

It's a good idea to use very thin aluminum washers that are smaller then the bolt hear. This way all the wrinkling goes on under the bolt heads.

OR, you can leave the bolts a little loose for a couple weeks, then tighten.

Use 3m strip-caulk around the bolt/screw holes,put some blue loc***e on the bolts/screws and DON'T crank on them to tighten.
