To all y'all painting gods herein. I paint for fun and I'm doing a body kit and paint job for the girlfriend's boss' kid. He picks that Cadillac metalic white pearl stuff which is a 3 step as you know. I was wondering if any of you have any tips fore I go off and squirt. I'm mostly concerned with things like pressures for each step, flash times, any lessons learned you may want to pass on to a complete idiot that has been lucky so far. I'm looking in my crystal ball and I see me not laying the pearly stuff down even enuf and it looking all wavy.

I would see how close the House of Kolors Snowflake pearl base coat is to the Caddy white. The snowflake is easy to shoot, I have found that shooting a white basecoat down first helps the brightness of the snowflake when its laid down.

That color isn't bad at all.Just paint it white, let it flash as normal and start with the pearl the same way.If you can hold an overlap it'll be fine, but it's best to walk the entire length and not go panel by panel.
