Need some advise on how to paint around fuel filler so that the fuel and fumes don't get under the paint and bubble paint, iv'e heard of useing clear fingernail polish arount inside edge of filler, but their has to be better advice than that.

Thanks

You can use the topcoat clear too applied with a striping brush,I use both and haven't had a prob with either. The big trick is to get the edge towards the outside of the sea so there are no fumes on it.

Thanks for the response. So the top coat Clear with hardner would be durable enough to repel the elements of fuel. I thought I had mine away from the opening enough but I still got a little bubble next to the opening on the painted surface, that was before someone told me that finger nail polish might work

Thanks again for your speedy response

"outside of the sea" should be seal. The acetone in the nail polish is harsh stuff so if you see the base color seep out into the polish don't worry,it happens. It usually won't look like the base color alone,my homemade blue turns a dark rust color and will fool you into thinking it's rusting.
