Painting Harley cylinders

Has anyone tried to repaint the black cylinders on the Harley motors? The stock coating lasts a few years and then needs touch-up. I don't know of anything that will take that much heat.
Any ideas ?

Thanks

According to Jon K. at HOK his paints will take it, but I'm a little skeptical. I' have seen HOK on harley motors and it did look good, but I don't know how old it was or how much use it got.

Just go to yer local hardware store, or anyplace that sells wood stoves. Black woodstove paint. $3-$8 per can, depending on the brand. Best is Vt. castings. On pre-evo cyls just rattle it on. On evo cyls wipe the edges after each coat to retain the shine. Cheep, easy, lasts.
