painting in garage

I am looking for any tips for painting in my garage this winter. I am in MN and it gets pretty damn cold in the winter. I have a great propane space heater that heats the garage to an acceptable level, but I am concerned to be painting with an open flame in the room. I've tried to talk my wife in to letting me do it in the basement of our house, but she didn't go for that

The only thing suggestion I can think of, is to start looking for a local shop that may have a heated booth that they might be able to rent you over the winter for a day or so. This will not only help keep the booth warm, but you'll also enable you to get a clean paint job out of it.

I always hated spraying in cold weather.

Of course, cold down here in Florida is 45

Nothin' like MN cold.

Heated booths always come in handy, no matter how cold it is.

Painting in the garage, haha yup I do it and have been for the past ten years...
* First - clean clean clean your garage it just has to be done!
* next - heat the garage to the temp. you want...
* Remove heater!
* Paint you car/truck or bike...
* Start up your heater....
* KEEP YOUR AIR COMPRESSER OUT OF THE GARAGE WHEN YOU ARE PAINTING! it will find dirt/dust or some kind of crap to throw on your fresh paint!
