I want to paint a speaker enclosure to match my friends car, my question is what type of primer can I use on MDF (particle board) that would allow me to apply an automotive finish over it?
I have just primed a maple skate board ready for flaming with Transtars Hydroflex waterbourne primer. As this is a flexible primer it should hold up. The first coat that you apply may make the MDF fur up abit but when you have sanded the first coat and re-applied the primer you should get a smooth finish.
