painting rims?

just a question to shoot out there. i have a sports bike and i was wondering if i can paint the rims as i thought it would look great if they matched the colour of my bike. if i can would i just go about it the same as the rest of the bike. basecoat/clearcoat? let me know what you think /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/freak.gif

that's great thanks for the reply. i just want to say as well this site is great, i came across it about 2 weeks looking for books and tutorials on the subject, but this place has got to be the best sourse out there. who needs a book!
