painting stainless steel?

hey.. i was thinking about painting Some stainless steel.

I dont know what needs to be done, from prep (grit size) to paint its self. i want to spray it on And will clear coat it.

i would wet sand with soapy water 500 grit sander paper, dry then wax and degreaser then put a coat of a adhesion promoter and then paint.

adhesion promoters are for plastics only. (they seal in moulding oils) .i usualy sandblast stainless then epoxy and paint.aside from that use 120 grit on a da then epoxy and paint.stainless and chrome are a real pig but this has worked well for me in the past.cyas

no worries. its a kind of primer/sealer. is you go to tcpglobal.com, you can see it. its made to go over properly prep bare metal
