Pearl painting

Help. I am going to paint my tins with BC02 silver base coat and was going to cover with UK 11 Kandy apple red. I was originaly thinking of ghost flames but I think I changed mind. I was looking at maybe a blue flame pearl with white tips. I am trying to figure out how to do this. ( intercoat clear, base coat, then white pearl or blue pearl, which should I do first to get the white tips.) Someone please give me some ideas with a direction to go. Thanks John /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flame.gif

Are you planning on spraying candy over your flames? Or the flames over your candy.

If you want that combo, I would spray the tri-stange candy, then spray your flames in a Shimrin blue (which includes pearl anyway), then do the tips in a white (pearl?), then reclear.

Scott,
Pardon my ignorance but what exactly is "tri stage candy"? I think I can figure out stage 1 (candy over base) and stage 2 (innercoat clear) stage 3 hmmmmm.
From the post it sounds like what I'd do with it is: base, candy, clear with pearl, air brush the tips with more clear with pearl. Al

Thanks for the help. I will try and see what happens, Who knows, I might change my mind again before I paint it. It is hard to come up with a good idea and hope that it looks good. Thanks again for the reply's John
