Pearl with metallic yellow?

What color pearl would be good to use for ghost flames on a metallic yellow base or would it be better to use a flat base?

I've seen white pearl over yellow alot. Also have seen a purple which really stands out or you can do a blue. As long as the flames have a more solid edge that fades tward the middle like a lot of Scott's do.

SG, its not a pearl but Candy Tangerine looks pretty cool over yellow, it gives it a translucent orange look.

I use gold pearl over the yellow flame. I tip the flame with bright white before adding the gold pearl....

I just finished a yellow bike with a ghost flame under a purple and it looks great. HOK Lemon Yellow and Pavo Purple.
