Peeling New Clearcoat

First post here, so first off hello.

I have a problem with a bike frame (as in bicycle). I painted it and I think maybe I let the clear coats dry too long in between coats and now my clearcoat is peeling away from a lot of places. I cut some frisket out on the frame and it peeled around the area... I added stickers, and it peeled around the stickers, you get the idea. Now I've spent alot of time on this bike already (strip - sand - paint etc) and well at this point I'd like to ride the **** thing, but want to salvage the paint and the stickers for this year at least.

So in a nutshell here's what I'm thinking (or not thinking... you tell me)

Sanding the peeling area down to get rid of the flakes, applying clear coat again (on affected area), and then a really wet coat of clear and sticking the stickers on when this is wet, and then another layer of clear.on the whole frame again.

Any help appreciated.

After thinking about it, I've peeled the stickers off and will sand off what I can of the clearcoat and re-apply.

Any suggestion on a clearcoat? Preferably in a spraycan?
