petrol resistant lacquer

Hi All

I have been using clear nail varnish around the filler caps on tanks with no problems at present but the other day I came across a spray can of petrol resistant lacquer has anybody used this type of product..is it better than the nail varnish option

Good question,I suppose it would but I'm hard to get to change from something I know works already.

I'm finishing a job right now with a flush mounted cap. I've run the paint all the way to the edge of the bung but I haven't painted inside at all. I've been taping to the edge of the bung to keep the paint out. On my final clear, should I move the tape line down into the bung a little? Is HoK UC-1 clear good enough to seal the paint on the edge of the bung? What should I do?
