Pinstripe Dry times

I am trying to figure out how long I have to let the pinstripe dry before I clearcoat. I am using DBC Base and 2082 Clear I have decided. I was gonna use One-shot, and do the triple 1/8" tape method to brush it on. But the dry time for one-shot says 8-12 hours.

What are people doing to speed this up. Should I use something else other than 1 shot. Don't have an air brush. Recommendations Please!

Hey,
I ususally use DBC base to do my striping with. It drys on the brush real fast though so it's hard to pull a nice long line, and can get aggravating.
I've not tried One Shot but from some other sites I've looked at most people wait a day, One Shot makes a catalyst that is supposed to help prevent it from lifting when you clear it, but like I said I've never used it so take that with a grain of salt.
House of Kolor also makes a striping enamel that is clearcoat safe and dries faster, again I've never used it though.

Try HOK striping urethanes.
They dry in about 2-4 hours but I've cleared them
after 1 hour. Be careful not to clear too heavy.
It will pull or run.

use the hok striping enamel. its much better. i've never had any luck with clearing over one shot even with the catalyst added I always seem to run into problems. if you decide to use the hok add a little of the catalyst. it seems to keep the striping from sliding when you clear. also your first coat of clear should be a medium to light tack coat. THis alos helps to prevent sliding.

maybe a little late but use hok ureathane for striping or add hardener to 1 shot and let dry for 24 hours before dusting first clear on.

Thanks for the replys!

I got the HOK stripping Urathane. I hope that I can get it to dry in a couple hours if I force it dry with a hair dryer or something like that...

Thanks again.
