hey, just got done colorsanding a moto helmet i just airbrushed. I started polishing with my high speed buffer. my buffer seems to skip/vibrate on the hemet leaving rubb marks on the helmet. Whats up? am I pressing to hard? I'm using this 3m refinishing polisher with a wool bonnet, is this ok? whats better. thanks .

I would use the foam polishing pad instead of the wool right off the bat. What speed (RPM) are you running on your buffer?

Possibly your clear is too fresh?! And like triky paint said, your speed could be too high.

How bout trying a micro mesh hand polish system .it starts at a 600 grit and goes up to about a 6000 grit. It is used in both acrylic window resorations and will work on about any clear enamal or acrylic.Make sure to use a lot of water to constantly remove the residue
