Whoa, never saw this one. There was a polyester called FeatherFill but I never liked it on steel,it was really meant for Vette's.There is a new version out but I haven't used it.I just use a good primer surfacer over the epoxy, the epoxy only being there for corosion protection on the steel, then all my work is done.I can't remember what you're using for a paintline but as far as I'm concerned PPG doesn't have a surfacer worth a crap.Their lower line of Omni does work great and won't shrink but it sands a little hard at first until you break thru the top layer.RubberSeal and Montana are 2 others I've used that are good and I think all 3 can be bough for $100 or less for a gal kit.PPG's primer is aweful about shrinking unless you put it on very thin per coat and let it sit a week before touching it,I've tried everything to cure the problem but nothing works.Unfortunately the reps wont admit the problem and it's our fault.Kind of pisses me off because the stuff is outrageously priced and I think after 20 years of using their stuff I know how to use it.The junk ruined 2 bike jobs I did because I couldn't let them sit for days before I painted them.Anyway,if you use the new FeatherFill2 let us know how it works. The original was great on fiberglass but it wouldn't stick to bare metal that great,I take it the new formula is supposed to address that problem.
