PPG Deltron question

I am painting a motorcycle fairing for a friend and it's a factory honda orange. It's a 3 stage color. Where can I find a technical data sheet for this specific line of paint? Is it generally 3 medium coats of base, then 3 coats of the top coat, and then clear coat?

What color is it? Orange Pearl (I think that's what it's called)?
If it is, you can spray this as a basecoat/clearcoat.

Big bucks for materials though!

Yeah it's called Juniper orange pearl. I got a half pint of both base coats and a pint of clear. That stuff is pretty expensive. My question is, how many coats should I do of each?

You will probably want to spray about 3 of the metallic basecoats, and 3-4 of the candy coats.
This all depends your spray technique along with air pressure.
Then of course clearcoat it.

Hopefully 1/2 pint of each will be enough.

I am new here but not to the biz... the only way to be sure is to do a spray out I usually do 3 coats of the ground color and 4 coats of the top coat...thats the way I was taught that way if you ever have to do a repair in the vehicle you know what you did to match it

If you are trying to match that paint do what they call a let down spray out. Get your self a piece of metal that is about 16 by 16 , seal it the same as the parts to paint then put down 3 coats of the first base , then tape off so you can have one coat of the mid up to four coats, then tape it off so you only clear half of it. When you are done you can hold it up to the parts you are trying to match and see how many coats of the mid it will take to get the right look. When you spray tri coats the more mid you put on the darker it will become. Hopefully this will help you get a good match
