PPG V/S Dupont

For painters who use both, what's the reasons you prefer one over the other?I would use PPG's global or Dupont's best.I can get both but, the guy I deal with sells Dupont and I can get a better deal.I'm not looking for a cheaper product, just a cheaper price.

They're both fine manufacturers.
I've used both and usually go with PPG just because I'm more familiar with their products and the big one I all ready have their reducers on hand. I don't have to buy the others products and have a million cans going bad.
Go with the DuPont if you get a better price.
You'll get a good product, no doubt about that.

I agree.I'm not a DuPont fan but it isn't a bad product. If they still have the 7600,7500 and 7800 clears they are good, the 7600 being fast panel repair and the 7800 being the slowest for overall jobs. The 7800 was nice but back then with siphon feed guns the 7500 is what I got my slickest jobs with. Both will give you a great finish so save the money if you can.I must say DuPont lacquer is bottom of the line IMO.RM was the best(which is Diamont now I think) and PPG was the next best.
