Prefeered Body filler

Whats your prefered brand of bondo. Have had good luck with the RAGE gold. looking for other brands/suggestions.

Rage is good along with BC/CC brand.There's a few more I can't remember since I got out of the bodyshop but Dyna Plus (I think made by Bondo) never gave me problems.I think it was relatively cheap compared to the others but did pinhole more than the other two.

rex what's the lime green putty they use over the sheet metal that you see from time to time on those bike shows on Discover Channel? and is BC/CC stand for that Base Coat Clear Coat putty. That's the brand I'm currently using, but having a hard time getting it to spread out fully before it starts to harden. Is there a suggested mixture for the hardner to putty ratio? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Hey,welcome man.The green putty is just a different brand of polyester putty but it's basically the same as the rest.You're right about the Basecoat Clearcoat,but I was refering to bondo,I didn't realize there was a putty called that.Those puttys are usually hardner sensitive compared to mud (bondo) and kick off pretty fast.Every time I mix some I have to remind myself to use 1/2 the hardner I would in mud and try to work fast.Also if you use less hardner it won't 'boil' and then lock up causing really small pinholes.They're so small I usually miss them until I prime it and then they show up.
