Hi there everyone just registered on this forum, ive stripped all the fairings etc of my zzr-1100 to do a repaint due to the previous paintwork being chipped, scratched and generally poor all over, i would appreciate some advise on preping the fairings, i mean do i sand them down to the plastic or just scuff them up and whats the best way to do this(sandpaper grades etc)is it best to use an adhesion promoter before re-painting or is there a better way/product?.....Thanks.

Hello and welcome. Since your set has already been painted, you should strip all the paint job. Maybe have them media blasted. This will save you a ton of time. Then just 180 grit, a couple coats of adhesion promoter, seal them, then paint them. If the parts are rough, then you should prime them before painting
