hi,
I have motorcycle abs bodywork that was once yellow, but was painted w/ppg black epoxy primer. I liked it, and it remained that way for 18 years. Maintained it with a variety of products, like waxes, armour all, black to black, etc. Now it needs redoing. The pieces have been repaired, thoroughly cleaned, wiped down with alcohol. Most of the parts are still coated in the PPG epoxy black primer.
I'm struck using this Sem Hot Rod black, and would like to know the most cost effective way to prep the surface additionally by using, 1. DTM black epoxy primer, 2.a plastic adhesion promoter, or a flexible primer surfacer. All are available in spray cans.
Can anyone offer any advice on the best course of action?
Thanks
David
