Hi, I need to prime a new carbon fiber funnycar body. I'm planning on using H.O.K. KP-21. I'M going to d.a. it with 180. I've been told you don't want to go much coarser because if you sand througu the gel coat you have alot of problems.Will that be coarse enough for the primer to stick ? Any suggestions? Thanks !

make sure that you wash it down w/ hot soapy water. there's something on it that needs to be washed or it'll come back and bite you.
180 seems a little coarse for it? not too sure about it? cause you don't want your fibers to raise up. that'll really **** to try to smooth out?
