protective coating??

is there a final wax or protective finish u can put on tank to help keep any fuel spillage of clear coat?? this may be stupid but i just did my first job and i love it and just want it to last as long as possible.

Don't wax it after painting for 30-90 days depending where you live,and then gas will eat off the wax.The only thing to do is be careful and wipe off any gas spills immediately.Once the paint is dry well enough to put into service it doesn't get any better.
