Scott i have laid down a basecoat of ppg dbc black and cleared it with stratoclear, i would like to scuff the surface with 500 and apply house of kolors Kameleon flames. my question is i want to clear over the house of Kolors with my stratoclear i originally used. Can i safely do this do you forsee and problems i plan on using the house of kolor reducer in the Kameleon i just dont want te extra expensive of buying there clear. I also dont like the fact of mixing clears. house of color and ppg. I would use ppg harlaquin but it is double the cost per pint.
Let me know what to do.

You shouldn't have any problem since the clear and the Kameleon are both from a urethane system. This should especially be true since you are only spraying a couple of light coats of the Kameleon.

You could always do a "test panel" before the real thing, but again, I don't forsee any problems.

It's almost like "Ford" wanting you to only use their oil and oil filters. They want you to use all HOK paint products.
