Question on \'spot clearing\' on a tank.
I did a flamed tank (red-orange flames on black) for a friend. When doing the final sanding with 2000 grit before polishing, I got carried away in a spot and sanded through the clear and down to the shadow on a flame tip. I can easily airbursh another shadow, but can I airbrush some clear on a spot about the size of a quarter and blend it into the rest of the clear?
Or since the clear must be rather thin in that area, should I use a regular gun and lay down a heavier coat of clear on a larger area so I won't end up sanding through the existing clear again?
Any tips or hints in greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
