Red pearl over white base?

Anyone ever done that? Just tossing some ideas around for my truck. I'm probably going to two tone it, with white as the main color and a bright metallic red above the body line, but thought maybe some pearl over the white would spark it up a bit. just wondered if red pearl over white would make it look pink

I would be using PPG pearl powder mixed into DBC500 over DBC white.

Hey man,how you been?I think I'd try a test panel first.A little pearl will be unnoticable until the light hits it right but too much could give it a pink cast.

Hey rex, yeah I figured a test panel would be my best bet, just trying to save a few bucks, hoping maybe someone has tried that combo.
I asked my jobber about the PPG pearl powders today and he let go out back and check all the colors out. Was kind of diggin on the Prizmatique powders and I checked out the color chips for them, neat but I dunno, a little to "metal flakey" maybe. It's so hard to get a good feel for them off that little color chip.
Finally getting to spend a little time on my truck, fixed the big dents and got it in primer now, going to block it out over the weekend then hit it with a couple more coats of 2K and lather, rinse, repeat. Getting a buddy to weld in my rollpan tomorrow and hell, I'm almost there after that.
I'm stuck with a red interior so color combos are kinda limited, but I am definatley open to suggestions.
It's a 90 Chevy Sport shortbed with a Belltech 4" / 6" lowering job.
