I've posted some other topics and gotten great feedback that I'll be incorporating into my first paint job.
Now one of the tricky parts for me is going to be finding some real estate to work with. I live in an apartment, so obviously even working out in the garage isn't an option. I'm considering the feasibility of creating some "walls" with poly sheets on my patio, but that's still in the developmental stage.
What I'm wondering is if there is any public sector equivalent to the Auto Skills shops I had access to in the Air Force. They're do-it-yourself shops with 8 or 10 garage bays, a couple with lifts, and tools. You rent the bay by the hour and can do your own auto work. The one at Langley AFB even had a spray booth that you could use. Any possibility I can find something like that in Austin? Or is it even worth checking to see if someone will let me use their booth for day?
