Run in Final UFC-35 Coat

I put my final coats of clear on my rear fender (at least what I thought was my last coats). I have a run (my first run) about 2" long. Should I be able to get that out with 600, or will it probably take something like a 320, and then smooth it out with 600? In addition, I guess I'll have to scuff the whole thing with a gray scuffy prior to shoot. I'm getting such an awesome finish, I'm not going to final polish.
Thanks for any help,

I would go very gently with nothing rougher than 1000 grit. If you hit it with 320, you will ruin it. By the time you got the 320 scratches out, you'd probably be through the base to the metal!

I would hit it with 1500 all over then re shoot it if that is what you want. Using a flexible block will help smooth it out even more than a scuffy.

The coursest I'd go is 600 but 800 on a good flat paintstick will level it nice, just shave the run or sag evenly without touching the surrounding clear, then go to 1200 or 1500 to finish.Be careful if it's on a crown because you'll automatically want to concentrate on the center of the run and it will get thin on you fast.If you're definately going to reclear level it with the 800 and then do a quick level of the rest with it,then grey scuffy the edges and stuff to finish off for the next clearing.

Rex and Ludicous,
Thanks, I just needed a couple more opinions. I went ahead and used 600 on the stick and then 600 over the whole fender. I didn't mention that I had 6 coats of clear prior to the run, so I had no real concerns about sanding through.
