Flame Queen, like you said there's lots of ways to do it depending hwere on the metal i get'm i'll use a single edge raz.blade -- or-- i got from a woodworking supply a metal scraper it's about 3-4" wide lately with the uros. if i use paper i get ghost sags -- HATE'EM--

SO if i use paper i'll use no more course the a 600 grit. that's my $.02 cents worth

Cutting them out with paper is real hard without it ghosting. The blade works great but if there's a drip or it's getting near 1/16" thick you'll end up with pinholes.I shave most of mine with a blade and then block over it with 2000.I can't say for airdry but I suspect overnight with a fast clear and maybe a day for slow stuff. It buffs harder when it's dry but the run/sag cuts out better then,if it's still soft it's too easy to put a real deep dig in it and the chances of it shrinking into a ghost are better.JMO though. How ya been Lady, haven't heard from you in a while.

Oops, forgot to say I cook most of my stuff.I always wait overnight even with fast clear. When you scrape it with the blade you'll get a nice powdering of clear,no dragging or chop marks on the scrape.

To add to that forget the little rasp file mounted in a square of wood. They work minimally for a sag but if there's a spec of dirt there they're bad about ripping it out and leaving the substrate it's sitting on exposed-really bad if it's the sealer. The little jig to mount and bow a blade has potential but I just grab a blade and use my own method.
