LOL

Runs suck!!!!! --- Don't use anything lower than 600 grit -- If your base coat is metallic you're gonna have to sand and re-base the whole thing --- Go faster with that gun --

If the run is in the clear coat only then wrap a paint stir stick with one layer of 1000 - 2000 grit and very carefully "file" it down to level, then polish it out. If the base coat has a run in it and you've cleared over it, then you're gonna have to get down to some serious work. Sand the run out, feather the area to match and reclear the whole thing. That's what I'd do anyway... Good luck

There have been some threads before about taking a razor blade, sliding it on some sandpaper someway, bending it a certain way and dragging it a certain way. Sounded like it worked really well for most, but I just didn't understand how it worked. If someone knows this trick and can post a quick sketch, please do.

Here's the easiest way for blading it .Take a NEW single edged blade and put a piece of tape over each side of the edge so only the center 1/3 or so of the edge is exposed.Lay the blade at the start of the run or sag 90 degrees to the surface and cant it to you just a touch. Now lightly pull it over the run. After doing this multiple times your run will be shaved down to the thickness of the tape on the edge BUT,the tape will wear away after extended use on the edge and you have to be careful in tight spots because the corners of the blade will poke right through the tape if they rub up against something.A few tips are: sight the edge of the blade first because they are almost always bowed so use that to your advantage.Thin tape like 3M's 233+ series will get you closer to flat as oposed to the old #6334 tan tape. When the powdering stops and you're at tape heighth you can put a little pressure with your finger in the center of the blade to bow it and scrape right down till it feathers into the surrounding clear.Check the tape often and grab a new blade at any time, some blades have burrs and I throw them into the general use pile. When I'm done and start feathering into the surrounding clear I block it with paper on a paint stick to melt it out.
