sand scratches

Do you guys think it would be okay to paint over 320 grit scratches with base coat clear coat, or should I wet sand with 600? I have not ever used Omni paint before, and am not sure how well it will cover sand scratches. I do not want to paint and then have to go back and do it all again.Thanks for all the help.

if you shot black it might be ok but i'd stay on the safe side. i usually wet sand w/ 400 then shoot my base.

Hoss, that is what I figured, but I was trying to get by with a fast one. Thanks for the advice. I will wet sand with 400 in the morning and hopefully be ready for paint in the afternoon. Thanks again for the help.

Hoss is right.
Black would be okay to spray over the 320 (400 is better though), but if you did a medium to a lighter metallic, I would DA with even as fine as 600.

This also depends on which sandpaper you use. ' P ' rated sandpaper is coarser than regular paper.
