After I shoot my coat of flake, do I need to sand it at all before I shoot my topcoat?

Never sand on a flake or pearl. You must always shoot a clear coat over flakes and pearls so that you have a protective coat to scuff. If you sand a flake, you'll scratch the flake platelets and dull them. This will ruin the effect you are trying to achieve. Always clear your flakes before you're done for the night (in the booth).

Thanx for the reply, yeah I found a post somewhere that talked about using a leather glove to knock down the little pieces sticking out of the clear so you dont have to use as much clear to hide everything, but I think I'll just stick to shooting the xtra coats of clear. Thanx again for the reply /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
