Hey guys, been a member for a while, most questions were always answered from doing a search, but Im all searched out on this question..
I am repainting my camaro, the car's shell isnt going to be that bad, I know sand clear off/ take the shine out.
The fenders I purchased from a guy used a rattle can paint on it. Now after searching and reading I did a fantastic paint job on my sportbike for a first timer. but the fairings were covered in spray paint and someone told me I HAD to sand ALL of the old rattle can paint and primer off to prime, seal, and paint.
I have a 2 stage paint base/clear system I am doing on this camaro. the fenders have rattle paint on it... do I need to sand ALL of the paint off the fenders, or can I get away with sanding as much as I can off without sanding too much of the plastic off (fenders are plastic) then prime it, then paint it? or do i have to bust a sweat and take off everything to the plastic and have the danger of taking too much off and start cutting into the plastic?:think1:
Thanks guys..
