I have a bumper cover I want to redo that I had a local paint shop do last year and it's peeling and cracking, and just has nasty stone chips. I was wondering if I should just hand sand this, or if a air sander would be O.K. to use. I was thinking of getting a nice IR sander because I'm currently redoing some wood work in the house, so I figured I could hit two birds with one stone. The sander I was looking at was the IR 4151 which seems to be their top of the line 6 inch sander. Would this be worth the investment if I plan on doing more automotive work? I guess if I should stick to just hand sanding, then I'll just buy a cheap sander for the house.
