Sata nozzle size?

Hi all,
I recently bought a new Satajet RP with a 1.4mm nozzle. The gun is being shipped now so I can't test it. I was advised to change the nozzle to 1.3mm. I'm wondering if anyone is using the Satajet RP with the 1.4mm nozzle for clearcoat and if so, is the 1.4mm nozzle okay?
I plan to buy another when I can afford it and use it for basecoat only with the 1.3mm nozzle, but I figured the 1.4mm would be fine for clears.
Anybody with experience with the Satajet and 1.4mm nozzle for clears?

Thanks,
Phil

I have a SATA 2000 with the 1.4 for clear and it works good. But when I bought my SATA RP with a 1.3 I must say I like that alot better, although I'm comparing two different guns not just size. The RP is a better gun overall I'm sure you'll be happy with it, but when you do get another gun I would recomend the 1.3 .

Thanks Austin. Now I wish I had just bought the RP 1.3mm instead but this was bought on Ebay so I'm gonna have to keep it. I just checked nozzle set prices and found they are almost half the cost of a complete gun!
Is there THAT much of a difference between 1.3mm and 1.4mm?

Thanks,
Phil

With clear coat your not going to notice a huge difference. I used a RP with a 1.4 as a demo and thats what made me decide to get the RP, so I'm sure you will like it. Those nozzle sets are spendy, but they include a new needle, fluid nozzle, and air cap. (they are matched sets) they won't sell you just a needle.

I use a 1.3 to shoot both my b/c and c/c with and have no problems with them.
