Scott,
I saw in earlier post you us UC 35 clear do you use that as your final clear or do you use the UFC 35. I was thinking about trying a PPG hi-solids clear to better bury graphics but after reading over some old post I think I will stick with the UC-35.Any rule of thumb as to how many coats I can use at one time. I have used up to 6 or seven with no apparent problems.
thanks

I've only used the UFC once. The only difference that I saw is that it flows out a little more...well since I plan on buffing it anyway, and I can slick 'em out, I go for the faster drying clear.
I haven't used the PPG clears for quite awhile. I used to use 894 and 893. The 894 took forever to dry and the 893 seemed to solvent pop pretty easily...maybe theyve' taken care of these problems since then. That was a couple years ago when I used the PPG clears.

thanks for the reply Scott I have always used UFC 35 as the final coat and like it but like you said it is going to be buffed anyway. If I over reduce the UC 35 it flows nice too so I may trying going the same route as you and cut out the UFC 35 when I run out of it.
thanks

yeah UC-35 flows real nice when you over reduce it. Hok even sells a high gloss reducer that you can add to your final coat of UC-35. UC-35 is good for burrying graphics, but I've switched to a Valspar clear recently for burrying and swear it's the same product has UC-35.
