Hey Jim!!!
Bet you're glad to see the warm weather come your way!

I basically just airbrush a brighter metallic (usually a silver or gold) then spray the candy of your choice.
I like using HOK...looks like quite a few other companies have their own version.

Thanks Scott,I figured on the silver but,do you candy the whole part or just the flames then clear everything or do you just candy over everything then clear as usual?Jim

P.S Ya,we've had cabin fever for a couple of months now.Being in the Nothern part of the state and close to the lake. We're still cooler than Indy for now. We only had a few days above 80 so far.Last week,we had a frost warning.Do you remember frost? I mean on the ground, not your beer can! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/foreheadslap.gif

Jim,
Depending the the base color, but for the darker colors, I usually coat the complete part.

I usually use SG-100 with the KK.

Scott,

When you put then candy on after you have sprayed your metallic fot the ghost flame, do you spray the whole piece with the candy or just the flames?

Re: Scott\'s candy flame jobs

Also, do you use a metallic paint such as a HOB Orion Silver or do you use a pearl to lay down your ghost flames before you put the candy on?

I'm trying to get the same effect on my Shovelhead.
