Sealer

I used HOK system from prime to clear.When I finished with the intercoat over the base for artwork I was taping out flames, I didn't like what had so pulled up tape and all the intercoat and base came up with the tape leaving the sealer behind.Had to resand repaint and reclear all over again...last time I use sealer!!!bond coat my a**!!!!

I haven't a clue what might have went array.But when I sanded the base back down to the sealer where it had lifted and reapplied base and sg100, had no more problems with base lifting with tape. I thought maybe I didn't let the base sit long enough ontop of the sealer......thanks for the input..

That's weird. I used the exact same system ( KP21 2 part primer; KoSeal II sealer, PBC100 Base coat, Sg100 intercoat clear then sanded and taped out flames with no problem. Don't know what might have happened to you there.

Did you wait too long between sealer and base coat? The maximum you should let the sealer cure is 1 hour before shooting the base coat over it. Other than that, I can't imagine what might have went wrong.

let saeler flahs 10 min 75 degrees thats it . 1 hr is too long . sealer has hardiner in it as soon as it bonds your paint will peel
